Hi there, Deb Preston here from Kootenay Friends of REALM (KFR) and I am contacting you to tell you about our upcoming event.
You know the January letdown (yikes!!) – that time of year when the Xmas fun has passed and the cold realization that winter is still here sets in. I swear that January is extra long compared to all the other months. I may have a solution for you that doesn’t involve spending thousands of dollars and time off work for a warm vacation.
KFR is hosting a Poker Tournament on January 18/2020 at the Eagles Hall!. It runs from 4 PM till whenever we’re done and includes a Pulled Pork meal plus all the fixings ( locally sourced from Cutter Ranch, Cobs Bakery, Farm to Folk, Kootenay Roasting Company and Java Creek Café.)
So how do you get involved??
- Join the tournament for a $100 “ buy in” which includes all of your games, supper, and chances to win ( $1000.00/1ST , $500.00/ 2nd , $250/3rd ) ( limited spaces)
- Bring your work team and/or 7 of your friends to make a night of it.
- Come and watch and join us for supper ($12), a no host bar, access to the silent auction, and door prizes – TBA ……
- Enjoy the mellow sounds of our local troubadour, Tom Bungay -BTW – Tom is also a Board Mmeber of KFR!!
- Tickets can be purchased from any KFR Board member or at REALM. Just let us know you want tickets and we will come to you. ( REALM – 250.426.3393) ( KFR- 250.919.9500 or 250.489.9242)
